Clinic Responsibilities: ½ day clinic 2x/week. In addition, opportunity for monthly involvement with hearing clinic, cleft palate, craniofacial and vascular anomalies clinics.
Operative Experience
Entire spectrum of surgical pediatric otolaryngology and otologic procedures. Laryngology with laser and papilloma experience, bronchesophagology (including foreign body removal), reconstructive airway surgical intervention, extensive intranasal and endoscopic sinus surgery, pediatric head and neck surgery (especially congenital abnormalities), extensive ear reconstructive surgery and cochlear implantation.
Research: ½ day per week with opportunity for clinical research.

Call Responsibilities: Yes
Case Load: Complete pediatric otolaryngology experience.

Additional Information:
This fellowship is directed at providing the candidate with necessary surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills in all aspects of pediatric otolaryngology. This will enable the successful graduate to attain a position in a tertiary care pediatric institution handling the entire spectrum of pediatric otolaryngological cases. A complete clinical experience includes close interaction with the pediatric ICU and neonatal ICU personnel and experience with our pediatric trauma center. The Fellow is responsible for ongoing care of hospitalized patients as well as those seen in their clinic session. Attending staff back up is present for on call responsibilities as well as emergency surgical cases. The didactic program consists of a weekly conference consisting of radiology, pathology, and interdisciplinary group meetings. There is a weekly case review with the attending staff. Presentation at a national level meeting is anticipated. Time may be spent with any pediatric, medical or surgical subspecialty service throughout the year to pursue individual interest.
